As an ICT-Architect you work closely with the Program Management Office (PMO). You help with the development of oneIT strategy that meets the business needs of the Agency.
You follow up the various IT projects and ensure that they do coherent, and result in a well-fitting application landscape. You put out the chalk lines on a technical level for application and solution architectures by working out a reference architecture, and by entering software
engineering and DevOps practices in consultation with the development team. You are also the point of contact for the development team and
bridge to the business.
Technical skills:
- Higher education (Master or Bachelor) with technical/engineering or business economics background.
- Communication skills and experience with teamwork and project-oriented work.
- Knowledge of business processes in general and of those of the Flemish government in particular (after training period)
- Minimum 5 years experience in general business operations with application in the ICT field.
- Strong communication and analysis.
- Strong abstraction ability
- Architecturally conceptual skills and experience.
- Enterprise architect or specialist architect in a specific domain (networking, security, server-in-house structure, application architecture,
ERP, ECM platforms, Datawarehouse and BI, ...). WITH CERTIFICATION.
- language requirement: Dutch language at European CEFR level C2.
- Thorough knowledge of all domains plus proven specialist architect in at least 1 specialist domains (see requirements).
- Knowledge MS Office Packages
- Knowledge of the different Project Management facets (costs, timing, coordination, planning, estimates)
- Thorough Knowledge of Business Engineering;
- Can propose business solutions that are a good combination between Business and Technology knowledge
Demonstrated experience with:

Scrum; Java; Scala; Javascript; UML Modeling; BPMN; Project Management; Application Architect; GIS/Spatial Data
Management; Agile coaching; Enterprise Architecture; Microservices; Domain-Driven Design; Devops; Amazon Web Services
Suitable candidate must be fluent in both Dutch & English
