Description
Vivid Resourcing are currently aiding with the recruitment of a Quality Engineer on a 6 month contractual rolling basis for a large aerospace manufacturing company based in the West Midlands.
You will provide effective quality engineering/Inspection functions to maintain the ability to meet planned quality objectives with regard to quality of product and/or service and compliance with regulatory and customer quality/inspection requirements.
Responsibilites:
Support Final Inspection and Certifying Inspection Activities within the MRO function.
Formulates and maintains quality objectives and coordinates objectives with MRO procedures in cooperation with Accountable Manager, Quality Manager and MRO Team Leaders to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Ensures that the repaired/overhauled product or processes adheres to a defined set of quality criteria and meets the requirements of the customer.
Responsible for Process Control Audits, and assisting in the Quality System Internal Audit schedule. Also responsible for closure and verification of audit C/A's.
Host/Support External Audits both Customer and Regulatory within the MRO function.
Participate in fault investigations into equipment returned from customers.
Responsible for SAP required quality activity.
Responsible for activities within the Q-Pulse system.
Interpret regulatory and customer quality requirements; develop company quality policy and produce operating procedures with respect to the requirements. Accuracy of requirements interpretation, support for continuation of the company's quality system approvals and maintenance of good customer relations are critical.
Responsible for quality related problems and bringing to closure issues identified by the customer or found within MRO.
Key Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
Experienced as a Quality Engineer
Experience of root cause analysis experience (5Y, 8D and Fish bone)
Inspection background
Quality systems knowledge
Desirable Skills:
Maintenance experience with at least six month exposure within a maintenance organisation (EASA-145 approved). Ability to verify this information.
Internal/external audit training
Familiarity with the company and its product range and systems.
Demonstrable ability to devise and develop methods of operation and to exercise good judgement in potentially sensitive situations eg in contact with customers representatives.
Proficiency with the SAP system and Q-Pulse.
