Description
Harvey Nash's public sector client is recruiting for a Procurement Advisor on an initial 5 month contract, with a high likelihood of extension.
You will be undertaking tendering and contract awards for contracts over £10k, the organisation currently contracts for approximately £18m of goods/services each year and the procurement team handle approximately £10m of this activity. This will involve working with colleagues to ensure organisation's purchasing activities deliver contracts that demonstrate best value and improve sustainability.
Essential skills/experience:
* Technical knowledge of sustainable procurement, methods/techniques
* EU/Treasury/Scottish law relating to Public sector expenditure.
* SG Procurement Policy and other interconnected policies
* Interpretation of Terms and Conditions for purchasing goods and services
* Good understanding of GDPR and DP laws
