Description
Sanderson Procurement are working closely with a leading financial services organisation in Edinburgh to support them in the recruitment of an interim Commercial Manager. This role has been added to the team recently due to addition workload. The contract will initially be for six months, but could well be extended beyond this.
Key responsibilities for the Commercial Manager:
- Drive continuous improvement across the business by building strong relationships with both stakeholders and suppliers
- Bringing together legal, commercial, business, finance and other stakeholders to deliver successful and compliant outcomes
- Lead on strategic planning and development of sourcing strategies for various categories
- Lead and support the team through the procurement process and ensure that they are compliant
- Maintain and develop excellent supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Always strive to achieve the highest level of best practise
- Reviewing, amending and analysing risk of different contracts
Person specification for the Commercial Manager:
- Extensive experience within Contract Management/Procurement
- Relevant qualifications - MCIPS preferable
- Evidence of a successful track record of contract/commercial management
- Evidence of creating, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Previous experience of business transformation projects would also be advantageous
