Compliance Manager (SOX) - Contract - Berkshire - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Compliance Manager to work for a leading global client based in Berkshire on a contract basis.
The Manager will lead the Software business unit Compliance team, which includes Accounting Policy, Chart of Approvals Process and provides Controllership SOX support.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the team to develop and present quarterly accounting policy updates to business management and the broader finance team.
- Manage web site information and ensure that it is updated and current at all times.
- Manage chart of approvals, and update process including coordination with the Delegation of Authority Committee.
- Co-ordinate and ensure SOX leadership approvals are provided for Controllership
- Develop team members to continue to progress with their careers and develop strong, career focused individuals that want to grow their career within the Software environment
Experience Required:
- Significant experience as a financial and controls manager/audit manager (including relevant leadership experience).
- Experienced in a variety of finance functions with an emphasis in compliance related activities.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and of financial processes.
- Excellent project management and team management skills.
- Full knowledge of SOX compliance processes
- Ideally degree certified, or holding relevant accounting certifications
