Description

A Leading Global Bank currently require a Senior Product Manager - for an initial 12 month contract based in Birmingham, paying up to £600 per day.

Role Purpose

The role will manage the day to day relationship with the Bank's Financial Client and oversee the brand specific customer activity to drive acquisition, existing customer management and end to end customer experience. The role will involve operational oversight

Commercial/Stakeholder/Risk Accountabilities

  • Manage the client P&L day to day with Finance colleagues
  • Lead management of the current card products
  • Lead future product enhancement/development opportunities
  • Partner-manage the clients retailer/finance arm to enhance the relationship while maintaining the contractual service required
  • Oversee acquisition and ECM activities for the current portfolio
  • Adhere to the Banks FIM and Line of Business Procedures covering product, customer and marketing activities
  • Lead the Clients governance through chairing of Joint Management Committee and supporting feeder fora as appropriate
  • Consider and identify/remediate all risks (conduct, credit and financial crime) in the day to day management of the portfolio
  • Liaise closely with Loans product management for the Client to maintain single agenda and streamlined execution for the brand

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of unsecured lending market in particular cards, its distribution and developments
  • Experience in Driving of profitable lending through effective credit risk management
  • At least ten years' experience in UK credit card product management
  • Direct experience of managing a retailer/issuer card programme in the UK
  • Experience in loyalty/points management for retailer card programmes in the UK
  • Leadership and Team Management
  • Material P&L understanding and business case development
  • Credit Risk and Analytical ability
  • Leadership to navigate a complex Matrix environment to drive initiatives
  • Sound ability to apply both customer/competitor insights and strong analytical skills throughout the design of proposition changes
  • A full understanding of the three lines of defence model and the role of the first line
  • Ability to influence others at all levels to help deliver change and improvement
  • Ability to act on own initiative, capable of influencing senior colleagues outside sphere of control
  • Experience of dealing with a range of internal and external stakeholders
