Vivid Resourcing are currently aiding with the recruitment for a Contract Quality Engineering/Inspection need for an Aerospace client based in Cheltenham. This contract is a 3 month rolling contract aiding with the upkeep of the Quality standards required for the products provided by the client.

Specific products/commodity details:
Mainly mechanical with some electrical
Activity and primary duties being requested:
Quality Inspection
- Inspecting incoming material and supporting documentation
- Review of suppliers First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) against material
- received
- Inspection of outgoing material - product and documentation (potentially including the use of a CMM)
- Support in the preparation of FAIRs for outgoing material
Ideal skills, experience and qualifications to perform this activity:
- Completing inspection to company specific procedures
- Support in assuring that the Quality approval requirements are being met by the business
- Completion of agreed personal and departmental objectives and initiatives
- Perform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures and processes
- There may be additional activities to perform from time to time in order to maximise the contribution to Customers goals and objectives
Essential
- UK Citizen and able to be security cleared
- Proven experience working within a quality management system
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills demonstrated both verbally and in writing in the form of presentations and recommendations for improvement
- Works effectively with others
- Demonstrated experience in building good working relationships and gaining trust and respect with internal and external customers
- Plans work and delivers on time
- Demonstrates a "Can do" positive attitude
- Use own initiative within the scope of the role
- Makes timely decisions within the scope of the role
- Proactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectives
- Good application of Microsoft packages and relevant software for the role (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of Standards or Specification applicable:
Desirable
- Has worked in an aerospace organisation
- Proven experience of working within a quality discipline
- Aerospace quality standards (AS9100)
- Experience with First Article Reporting approval methods (AS9102)
- Other aerospace topics (FOD, Counterfeit avoidance etc.)
Experience:
- Quality Inspection, Aerospace: 3 years (Preferred)
