Description
Looking for a procurement consultant - to help the CCO manage an extensive list of supplier/vendor assessments, agreements and related projects, for the creation and build of a digital bank going through the regulatory process - must have a solid understanding of the technical aspects of procurement such as tendering, contract law and negotiating.
Please only apply if you have strong knowledge of retail/commercial banking as this is mandatory when working with the stakeholders and external suppliers alike.
Initially a 6 month contract there will be preference shown to people willing to look at a longer contract/permanent contract after this initial period.
Mandatory skill set:
- Experience of retail/commercial banking in the UK
- Experience of working in a procurement function within a retail/commercial bank
- Experience of working within UK corporate governance frameworks
- Sound understanding of business profit and cost drivers
- Strong planning, management, negotiation and communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills
- Ability to work creatively in an ever changing environment
- A self-starter who is comfortable turning high level principles into defined actions and setting future directions
