Description

Looking for a procurement consultant - to help the CCO manage an extensive list of supplier/vendor assessments, agreements and related projects, for the creation and build of a digital bank going through the regulatory process - must have a solid understanding of the technical aspects of procurement such as tendering, contract law and negotiating.

Please only apply if you have strong knowledge of retail/commercial banking as this is mandatory when working with the stakeholders and external suppliers alike.

Initially a 6 month contract there will be preference shown to people willing to look at a longer contract/permanent contract after this initial period.

Mandatory skill set:

  • Experience of retail/commercial banking in the UK
  • Experience of working in a procurement function within a retail/commercial bank
  • Experience of working within UK corporate governance frameworks
  • Sound understanding of business profit and cost drivers
  • Strong planning, management, negotiation and communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to work creatively in an ever changing environment
  • A self-starter who is comfortable turning high level principles into defined actions and setting future directions
  • Focus and appreciation of customer needs
  • Business case development and benefits realisation
  • Strong focus on compliance and regulation
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Good personal organisation that demonstrates an ability to work under pressure to challenging timelines.
  • Delivery-focused and structured approach
  • Good IT skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook).
