6-month Initial Contract - Negotiable Day Rate
Job Purpose:
This person will be required to work as part of the existing Health Insights team to design, develop and implement QlikView/QlikSense dashboard solutions which should include the implementation of all aspects of NPrinting reports. The primary function of this role is to augment the existing resources and work with the Project Manager and Project team to implement dashboards that are being developed across multiple projects while transferring skills needed to support these dashboards once live and implement new projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General Roles:
- Design, develop and initial testing of QlikView (v11 currently) and QlikSense dashboards that utilise underlying data store(s)/data warehouse(s) and data marts
- Design and development of NPrinting solutions for reports from dashboards including full template development/connection to dashboards/filtering/Template Macros/Cycle fields
- Work with multiple data connections to different data sources
- Advise on streamlining existing comprehensive dashboards with full process optimisation
- Operational support of NPrinting including working with NPrinting server
- Provide on-going technical support and skills transfer to health insights team
- Work may include the upgrade of NPrinting/QlikView
- Any duties appropriate to the job which may be assigned from time to time by the Project Leads/Department Head
SERVICE MANAGEMENT AND DELIVERY
- Maintenance of existing applications and developing new applications functionality
- Carrying out change requests and bug fixes
- Initiating, seeing through and completing projects throughout its life cycle as directed by the Project Manager
- Carrying out any further implementations/updates in reference to software/applications or service standards as requested and directed by the Project Manager
- Adherence to all local and Hospital wide Policies and Procedures
- Attend any training that may be assigned by the Management Team
- Attend meetings as requested by the Project Manager
- Effective management of workload
- Deliver on all KPI's and Targets as allocated by Management
- Provide reports on KPI's as requested
- Lead on change management in conjunction with other members of the management team
- Be familiar and ensure compliance with national standards and GDPR regulations

- Work closely with the wider team

- Working as part of the project management team
- Liaising with other departments in reference to dashboard development and testing
- Being an active member of the full project life cycle
- Liaising with 3rd party contracts on system issues eg Firewall connectivity

Qualifications/Experience
- 3rd level degree in computer programming
- Post Graduate Qualification
- Min 2 years' experience of design and development of complex QlikView and/or QlikSense dashboards including section access and upgrading of software and dashboards
- Demonstrate senior experience working on large scale project(s) preferably, within health service organisations
- Data Visualisation Training and Experience
- NPrinting experience including development and support of templates which include macros/cycle fields/filtering and experience in NPrinting server
- Knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft SQL Server Databases
- SQL Programming experience
- Must demonstrate knowledge and applied skills in at least 3 of the following:
- SQL Programming
- QlikView Designer/Developer
- all versions
- QlikSense Data architect
- NPrinting all versions
- VBScript
- Data visualisation
