Business Analyst - Central Dublin - € per day - Government & Education Sector - 6 month contact plus extension
Our client is a government agency with the Education sector and they are seeking a IT Business Analyst to assist in critical projects. Primarily the Business Analyst will work with business areas to analyse business processes and corresponding applications assessing the technology needs and improvements. The candidate will translate business requirements into a roadmap and work with Senior Executives and ICT colleagues on an implementation and development plan.
More specifically the Business Analyst will be required to:
- Liaise with business units to ascertain their ICT business needs and to identify potential efficiencies/software or application improvements and enhancements
- Consult with and advise business unit, in accordance with an agreed plan, on the potential for ICT to improve service delivery within business areas
- Carry out analysis to define configuration specifications and business technological requirements
- Carryout research on how IT systems are used and suggest ways for systems improvement and efficiency.
- Conduct GAP analysis for existing systems
Experience required:
- 4-6 years' experience in identifying mission critical business applications and streamlining and enhancing business processes using technological solutions
- Proven experience at driving consensus across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and senior management
- Proven track record in report writing.
