Financial Accountant - London
Financial accountant sought by my leading and global energy trading company on an initial 12 month initial contract - £170 per day
Looking for a part or fully qualified at ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant
Key Accountabilities
* Assist in the completion of Indirect Tax clearing activities on a monthly basis, along with relevant ad-hoc activities as required
* Liaise with Regional Reporting, Commodity Risk, PPM, Trade Completion, Credit, Legal and the Intercompany teams in relation to GEP and Equity Accounting financial reporting matters
* Strive to improve processes and integrity of data around period end close with a view to simplify/standardise/automate processes
* Drive forward the Central ARC continuous improvement agenda
* Cross cover of other Central ARC activities as necessary
* Assist in the completion of Balance Sheet Integrity (BSI) on a quarterly basis
Person specification
- Proven record of working under pressure and delivering to tight deadlines
- Strong level of analytical skills, numeracy and strong financial understanding
- Ability to network across the organisation and work with senior management on issues
