Process Control & Instrumentation Engineer - CONTRACT

Location: South Wales

Duration: 3-6months +

Due to recent investment and increased plant capabilities our global client is urgently looking to secure the services of an experienced Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join their team on a Contract basis, with the main task of interrogating their systems, and suggesting improvement areas.

Role:

* Review existing control applications and provide recommendation for improvement.
* Develop, modify, and tune control applications for continued and improved operation of the processing units.
* Monitor operation and assist process operators/engineers to meet target production, quality, and energy goals.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

* Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Instrumentation/Automation or a related field and Process Control Engineering experience in a petrochemical, chemical or refining facility is required
* Experience of design and implementation of control philosophy's.
* Proven practical experience of troubleshooting and optimisation of control loops.
* Preferably experience of working with Delta V (DCS) and distillation column control.
* Proven ability to look at existing systems, understand them and recommend improvement.
