Finance Analyst
Contract. 2 Months + Central London. £23 Per hour through Umbrella Company. Public Sector
Finance Analyst required in Central London. This is an initial 2 month contract but expected to be extended further. You will be a member of the billing team and will present highly complex
financial information to non-finance staff including heads of departments. You must have an understanding of NHS Trust or other large system financial processes including month end process.
Role responsibilities
- Preparation of all departmental Management information on a timely basis
- Preparation of department's Management Information as required
- Development of Executive Information System
- Preparation of accounts and report submissions for trust owned entities and other organisations as requested by Billing Manager and Head of Commercial Finance
- Attendance of any meetings with external parties to develop and present accounts
- Preparation of month end close and course reconciliation modelling for all tender opportunities under £1 million and other business opportunities as required by Billing Manager
- Assuming full ownership of monthly, quarterly forecasting and accruals process
- Supporting Head of Commercial Finance in annual business planning process as required
- Leading the project to obtain additional funds from external sources to complement commercial activities.
- reconfiguration project to develop new processes for Billing team Support Senior Credit Controller with management information and guidance on trust policies to ensure prompt payment of income to the Trust.
Skills and experience required
- Qualifications/Relevant Finance Education Degree, or Business management, CIMA qualified or working towards or Substantial experience in Finance role
- Skills/Knowledge Ability to negotiate and Ability influence senior stakeholders. Highly
developed level of interpersonal skills is critical for this position so that enable highly complex, technical issues to be explained in clear and concise terms. - Demonstrated experience of operating in finance role: Able to present
highly complex financial information to non-finance staff including heads of
departments. Understanding of Trust or other large system financial processes including
month end process. - Strong IT skills: Excel, Oracle, pivot tables, PowerPoint, Word
