Role: Credit Risk/Impairment Analyst
Location: Central London
Contract: Daily Rate
Our Financial Services client are looking for a Senior Risk/Impairment Analyst/to join their finance department.
This role is a key role within the business; the successful candidate will be responsible for providing risk analytical capabilities in support of customer life cycle and capital management strategic objectives across multiple portfolios.
Role duties:
Ensure that the bank complies with the credit-risk related requirements of IFRS9, Integrated Regulatory Reporting, Basel Pillar 3 and other external reporting of credit data including the interpretation of these requirements
Ensure the integrity of RWA and regulatory and economic capital calculations
Ensure that current and planned rating system infrastructure supports regulatory reporting and internal control requirements
Support the development of accurate capital reporting in line with the business requirements.
Support the management capital lines to budget, tracking and explaining variances
Work closely with the Finance function and other key stakeholders within the business to develop and deliver comprehensive risk reporting.
Support the development and continual enhancement of forecasting tools and risk statistical reporting
Support the management of insightful and timely management information to inform Senior Management and where applicable, help drive corrective action.
Support the development of accurate provision loss forecasting models in line with the business requirements.
Support the management of impairment to budget, tracking and explaining variances
Support the development and continual enhancement of forecasting tools and risk statistical reporting
Senior Analysts will use tools such as SAS and Excel at an advanced level to manipulate and interrogate data
Expected to apply commercial acumen to interpret their results and produce actionable recommendations.
Experience required:
Experience of working within a Financial Services environment
Experience in consumer Credit Risk management
Excellent communication skills - liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, and cross-functionality.
Track record of executing significant initiatives to improve credit risk and financial returns
Proven leader of complex business areas
Knowledge of key regulation and compliance expectations around the treatment of customers in financial difficulty and assignment of debt
