Description
CFO - DACH required. My client, a leading supplier of industrial goods based in the south eastern area of Germany, require a CFO to focus on the DACH region on an initial six month freelance engagement (should extend to 12 months).My client are a leader in what they do and have a global turnover of €2.4 billion. The DACH region currently has a revenue of €500 million. You will be responsible for the implementation of the CFO function within the newly formed structure. The implementation and optimisation of processes and structures will be your responsibility.
The CFO - DACH will be responsible for the following:
• Optimising branches
• A restructure of the controls environment – flash and monthly reporting
• Cost containment and reduction
• MI, analysis, data and reports to allow the German Board to make strategic and tactical decisions, but also support with insights and strategy
• Oversee a finance function that can support the volume and details of reporting from the CEO
• Support an E-commerce platform – managing the implementation of systems and processes to support this
The CFO - DACH will have the following skills/experience:
• Sitting on a leadership team – you will be deputy to the CEO
• Strong grounding in accounting and controlling processes
• Centralise all transactional activities for accounting and commercial
• Strong track record in creating sustainable finance team structures
• Experience in a transaction volume processing environment – preferably service centre operations and distribution
• Knowledge in supporting M&A objectives, bids and acquisition on new contracts - you do not have to be an M&A expert, but experience would be preferable
• Experience of guiding a business through a change process
• Strong intellectual capacity
• Ability to work cross-culturally
• Excellent communication skills, team player and the ability to engage and influence strong personalities
• Fluent in English and German
• If you have worked for a private equity backed firm, this would be a plus
