Cognos Developer (SC Cleared)

FPSG have an exciting opportunity for a Cognos Developer on a contract basis to join a high profile data transformation programme
Role responsibilities
Review current plan and highlight any gaps relating to specifications, wireframes or data availability
Undertake Cognos report development activities, working closely with the business end users and SMEs of the project to support rapid prototype of report and framework manager package design/development
Facilitate UAT process with end users cross checking 'current world' results to 'new world.' Documenting rationale and evidence for those that dot match
Agree with project SMEs the necessary release plan to production, ensuring the delivery adheres to client's best practice for release
Deliverables
Updating and maintain the MIS Project MIS Report List tracker with development progress for each report
High-level unit testing of framework manager packages and reports during development life cycle, UAT acceptance from business users and SME Project Leads
Creating framework manager packages, reports and dashboards to clients existing standards and specification
Requirements
Significant experience working with Cognos
Hands-on project experience with SQL and also ETL work.
A broad technical skill set of Business Intelligence tools.
Solution Design
Experience of working in the Agile methodology
Hold current SC Clearance
