Exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled BI consultant to join their team for an initial three-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
You will manage, architect and analyse big data in order to build data driven insights and high impact data models. You will also create a value chain to help address the challenges of acquiring data, evaluating its value, distilling & analysing and examine data from multiple sources and share insights which provide competitive advantage. Finally you will contribute to assets/offerings and thought leadership and act as Subject Matter Expert.
Understand the reporting landscape, perform rationalisation and gap analysis activities against the core solution, and deliver the BI products on GCP
Gather BI/Analytics product requirements and ensure user and product requirements are satisfied in the new platform
Turn requirements into design specifications and transition to the technical team
Highlight risks, issues, vulnerabilities and communicate to the whole team to manage risks
Collaborate with other pod members to deliver high-quality work
Bring experience and ideas for robust and innovative BI design
Mentor and upskill fellow group/team members
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Work experience in visual analytics context
Excellent analytical, numerical and information gathering skills
Data visualisation skills, ideally involving Qlik
Experience in previous data warehouse or data migration projects, ideally involving GCP
Stakeholder-management skills
Knowledge of data warehousing techniques and Datamodelling
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, experience working in client collaborative environment on Data driven projects
Ability to apply analytical and creative thought process
Success in contributing in a multi-location team-oriented environment
Ensure delivered solutions are realised in time frame committed; work in conjunction with team members to size and manage scope and risk
Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:
Data and analytics experience in Telco Industry
QlikView/Qlik Sense knowledge with experience of Scripting, Datamodelling and data visualisation
Experience working with Data Studio
Experience with Agile and can work with at least one of the common frameworks
