Finance enables Anglo American to achieve its strategic ambitions by driving optimal decision making and performance management whilst maintaining the highest standards of control and compliance, providing a work place of the future to develop and retain talent.

The vision for the Financial Planning and Analysis workstream, part of the Financial Performance & Improvement Portfolio within the Beyond Finance programme, is to focus work efforts on value-add activity and through embracing the latest technologies, drive business performance.

The specific scope area for this work is management reporting, incorporating financial & non financial performance. This will involve;

Defining a set of measures for reporting financial performance, along with;

A catalogue of reports with processes & controls for production and distribution at set frequency to deliver those measures, as well as;

Defining and implementing a technology & data solution to drive this standardised reporting.

Initially this work will be focused at the Anglo American Group level, with further work being currently scoped to expand this to the 10x Business Units that make up the enterprise structure.

The Purposes of the role is to construct the design required for effective management reporting for Anglo American.

Provide subject matter expertise to support the design and subsequent delivery of the agreed management reporting solution to achieve the vision for a future state, aligned to the Finance Target

Knowledge

Strong Financial background, with working knowledge of management reporting and analysis disciplines in a global, multi-business unit environment.

Experience in a large corporate (eg FTSE100) environment preferred.

Experience of technology and business change on large-scale projects with senior stakeholders, involving IT and data transformation.

Understanding of different technology solutions used for reporting. Compliance/SOx, with hands on delivery experience beneficial.
