Harvey Nash's Client, a Private Sector organisation within the utilities space, are recruiting a Business Analyst on an initial 6 months contract.
Essential Experience:
- 5 years experience as Senior BA
- Capture and baseline all 'To Be' business reporting requirements; categorised by priority, data age, and data source location(s)
- Managing end-to-end traceability of reporting requirement delivery; aligned to programme functional Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
- Liaise with suppliers' reporting subject-matter-experts, and facilitate system demos and walkthroughs
- Oversee report usage training and report creation training
- In-house building of reports, with supplier support, where applicable
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing of reporting solution
- Strong DevOps knowledge- Understanding of data models, data warehouses, and multi-source report outputs. Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, or similar toolsets
- Strong agile methodology experience - clear understanding of agile ceremonies ie sprints, retrospectives, stand-ups, refinement sessions, sprint planning, etc
Essential Skills:
- Excellent collaborative mindset and approach to project management and delivery
- Ability to engage with project team and leadership - Solution Architect, Functional Solution, Developers, Business SMEs,
- Strong agile methodology experience - clear understanding of agile ceremonies ie sprints, retrospectives, stand-ups, refinement sessions, sprint planning, etc.
- Ability to write basic scripts in SQL
- Reporting business analysis experience covering Business Intelligence (BI), management information (MI), and data analytics
- Working knowledge of Energy/Utilities industry; including regulatory, financial, operational reporting obligations
- Understanding of data models, data warehouses, and multi-source report outputs
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Dynamics 365, ERP Implementation
- A can-do attitude, team player, result driven, attention to detail, resourceful
Desirable Skillset:
- Reporting business analysis experience covering Business Intelligence (BI), management information (MI), and data analytics
- Working knowledge of energy industry; including regulatory, financial, operational reporting obligations
