Sourcing Leader - Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare)
Cardiff, CF14 (80% work remote)
Duration: ASAP until End of December 2021
£25 per hour
What you'll do
- Leading the development & execution of the commodity and local sourcing strategies within the injection mould commodity, delivering a competitive advantage, driving strategic supplier initiatives. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
- Leading sourcing execution for the plastics commodity including tooling, including full accountability for meeting deflation and on time delivery targets.
- Performing cost analysis of components & manufacturing processes used by our suppliers to ensure highest quality at the lowest cost solution.
- Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance and developing improvement plans to ensure business needs are met.
- Represent Sourcing in New Product Introduction projects and other Supplier related projects.
- Support Product Care activities following the Product Life Cycle.
- Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the business needs.
- Support activities within the Supplier Risk Management Program improving Security of Supply.
- Support transfer projects as appropriate driving actions to conclusions
Experience and Skills needed:
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a related strategic sourcing role and industry .
- 3 years' experience with technical depth/knowledge in a plastics commodity, or 3 years of Commercial Sourcing, Supply Chain or Engineering experience
- Prior experience in communicating with external suppliers, and proficiency in negotiating and executing commercial contracts
- High level of analytical skills and experience from working in a process and project-oriented environment
- Interest in driving process development initiatives
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of time
- Excellent negotiations skills and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationship
- Proven ability to execute and deliver on complex projects requiring cross functional teams and inputs
