Lead HR Specialist - Financial Services, Benefits, Risk, Transformation

Role is based in London but is currently a Remote Working position

Contract duration is 6 months

Role is paying between £600 - £735 Per Day

Description

The Interim Benefits GSO and Global Projects Lead has overall responsibility for the employee Benefits Service and the project leadership of the Group's Benefits priority projects and Global HR Transformation projects from a Benefits perspective.

The role holder will work closely with the other Global Service Owners in HR, the HR Transformation team and the Group Reward Leadership Team (GRLT) - and other senior stakeholders to facilitate and ensure connectivity across the different projects and workstreams. The role holder reports to and is ultimately accountable to the Head of Group Wellbeing, Benefits, Shareplans and Global Mobility.

Impact on the Business

  • Work with the GRLT and the Performance & Reward (P&R) community at large to connect with other HR disciplines and functions/business lines as appropriate in order to develop/deliver P&R priority projects that are commercially sound and aligned to the HR and business strategy alike
  • Act as the lead representative and contact point for Benefits for HR governance, AOP planning and for projects outside the P&R function such as True North, ensuring a unified view of the Benefits function is represented
  • Lead the implementation of Benefits interventions through the GRLT and virtual project teams across the group
  • Provide Benefits guidance and support to the HR function as required to ensure successful delivery of HR objectives (eg European restructuring)
  • Lead and support complex change programmes

Customers/Stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with Group/Global Business/Global Functions/DBS/Regional Performance & Reward colleagues; ensuring cultural differences are respected and valued
  • Establish and sustain effective partnerships with other HR teams and functions such as People Services, HR Transformation and Service Management in order to enable successful end-to-end delivery of Benefits projects and workflows
  • Ensure expertise/advice is best in class by researching leading practice and being connected to external market developments and trends

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Lead and develop a direct team of SMEs/Benefits Consultants and virtual project teams
  • Bring problem solving skills and thought leadership and advice to HR and business leadership teams as appropriate
  • Support Matrix decision making for P&R/Benefits decisions, facilitate discussions between different areas of the bank where necessary
  • Contribute to the development of the Group Performance & Reward strategy
  • Role model behaviours required to articulate a clear Benefits vision to both the business and HR teams
  • Integrate and navigate the HR Matrix, aligning Group, geography and global line HR agendas in collaboration with the GRLT

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Provide the Head of Group Wellbeing, Benefits, Shareplans and Global Mobility with operational oversight and control of priority projects and the BAU agenda
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and risks and present remedial suggestions and options
  • Work in close partnership with the HR COO org/Group Reward on operational effectiveness and control

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications

  • Experienced people manager and leader
  • Demonstrates technical depth in benefits and change management
  • Extensive knowledge of Reward/Benefits practices in global organisations
  • Proven track record of successfully leading both design and implementation of complex reward/HR initiatives and projects in highly matrixed organisations
  • Ability to navigate complex Matrix organisational structures across different cultures
  • Highly developed presentation, connection and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates ability to manage and work with a varied stakeholder management group
  • Holds a degree or equivalent professional qualification
