Rate - £357 - £458/Day PAYE or Umbrella

Our financial services client is currently seeking an Accountant to join their team in the London office/remote working.

Job description:

The main responsibilities of the role is the output to the PRA and will include the following:

  • Manage the end to end delivery of the capital & leverage, GSIB Indicator and MREL returns for entities.
  • Review and challenge of the data received and included within all regulatory returns and all external disclosures.
  • Ensure quality of output produced by performing regular reviews and validating control checks.
  • Delivery of data and information for the reporting of the Pillar 3 and related regulatory external disclosures included within the interim and annual reported accounts.
  • Supporting the delivery of Regulatory Reporting and delivering the capital adequacy outputs
  • Evidencing the data have been prepared and reported in line with the Control and Assurance Framework.
  • Supporting the preparation of any responses to questions raised by the PRA & senior management.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with other group functions to underpin the organisations ability to provide consistent/coherent regulatory submissions.
  • Impact analysis on reporting from various changes from regulators.

Essential experience required

  • A qualified accountant with evidential post-qualification work experience
  • Knowledge of PRA and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ability to work under pressure, report to tight deadlines and deal effectively with issues as they arise
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven ability to work well in a team, be cooperative and open, and embrace diversity
  • Strong ability to identify and mitigate risks and apply appropriate controls
  • Experience delivering to internal stakeholders such as internal auditors; business functions; etc.
  • Commercially minded and ability to make decisions in a timely manner
  • Acts with integrity and confident to challenge when appropriate
  • Self-motivated and capable of working as part of a team
