Methods are currently recruiting for a Business Architect to join the ever expanding business.
The role is initially for a 6 month contract and is deemed outside or IR35
This role requires Live SC Clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and contextualise strategy for operational needs, develop specific artifacts such as business capability maps and value streams to help bridge the gap between strategy and execution, and help streamline and rationalise the technical delivery and enablement process.
- Work to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.
- Document and understand the business motivations and business operations that link these aspects of the enterprise together when placed in context of User Research and Service Design, translating these to actionable architecture artefacts and direction for the Data, Technology and Application domains.
Technical Experience
- Must have active SC
- Experience as a Business Architect with the government or public sector environment, having delivered through the full DbDSS life cycle (Discovery, Alpha, Beta, Live)
- Experience of delivering programmes with data centric open-source solutions/capabilities
- Experience in producing Business Architecture artefacts including but not limited to Strategic Intent/Motivations, Business Capability Maps, Value Stream Maps, Process Maps, Organisational Structure Design and Context, Business Information Models etc
- Experience in defining, evolving and leading the implementation of strategic architecture initiatives following established enterprise and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Experience of working with Agile methodologies on large programmes as part of a multi-disciplinary remote team
- Experience of undertaking a detailed, structured analysis of business issues, translating into designs that describe a solution back with transitional stages and roadmaps managing business and technical risk
- Understanding of modern data driven paradigms and their implications on the business eg DataOps, MLOps, Data Mesh etc.
