DevOp's SME - Remote Work - Contract - Up to £625 per day (Inside IR35) - SC Cleared

The Key Responsibilities of a DevOp's SME:

  • A Devops SME is required to improve DevOps maturity within a fast-paced public sector client setting.
  • Practitioner should have previous experience in helping clients improve their process automation thorough improveduse of available software tooling and recommending best practive CI/CD pipelines.
  • This will be a fast-paced, remote-working project working on developing a suite of assets and capabilities, focusing on implementing an ERP software solution that will help our client consolidate and simplify a range of HR, commercial and financial functions.
  • In depth knowledge of Atlassian Suite required, including linking Jira with Bitbucket functionality.
  • understanding of project Release processes and experience in handling complex client problems.
  • Bitbucket pull, push and Commit understanding.
  • Confidence to share knowledge in Demo sessions and an ability to enable process improvements for development teams.
  • This role will involve working and advising multiple teams including security, accreditation, assurance, information management and change control to improve project DevOps maturity and shorten the time taken from code written to deployment.
  • The practitioner will plan, implement and monitor the continuous integration pipeline for automated deployment while working collaboratively within the team using Agile Ways of Working, using tools such as Slack, WebEx and Atlassian JIRA.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for the DevOp's SME, however you will not be expected to have everything:

  • Python scripts.
  • Java coding.
  • Ant Scripts- Ant is a small application in Oracle Fusion Middleware to deploy code especially SOA/MDS code.
  • Experience in creating small Shell Scripts.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

  • Ansible, Jenkins, ERP project implementation experience - ideally Oracle Cloud.

Please note that the client has determined that the off-payroll working rules will apply to this assignment and therefore this contract will be run through an Umbrella Company. Income tax and primary national insurance contributions will be deducted at source from any payments made to the intermediary.
