Azure DevOps Release Manager - D365 Sales & Marketing
We are seeking a contract DevOps Engineer to set up and manage the Azure Devops pipeline and carry out the release deployments and cascades of new D365 (Sales & Marketing) solutions and customisations within an in-flight programme. You will be working with the build, release and test resources to plan, develop, deliver and review these new products and services adopting Microsoft best practice standards throughout.
Key tasks will include:
- setting up the version control/pipeline for D365 solution components.
- defining and setting up the branching approach for the program for the respective application components and ensuring the mechanism for merging and resolving associated merge conflicts in the development environments are managed and in place.
- deployments to the programme environments and associated cascades per the configured pipeline
- liaising with the Development manager to ensure builds are planned and scheduled for deployment to the respective environments
- working with the build team to ensure builds are packaged and committed to the repository for deployment via the pipeline to the respective environments
- working with the BAU implementation team to advise on programme build outputs, that may impact BAU environments and vice versa.
- Providing technical expertise to enable the configuration of software, other system components and equipment for systems testing. Ensures that integration test environments are correctly configured.
Experience must include:
- Full Azure cloud application deployment life cycle management
- Demonstrable experience of similar projects
- Substantial experience of D365 application and software development life cycle including Sales and Marketing, FinOps, CRM, and Field services.
- Substantial experience of software configuration management including branching, merging, re-basing and code check-in/check-out.
- Significant knowledge of a range of the Microsoft technology stack including Dynamics 365, Office 365, SharePoint, Security and Azure.
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to get things done' in a complex and ambiguous environment.
- Significant experience with Agile, SCRUM and sprint methodology with hands-on experience with Agile tools and methodologies
- Significant experience in having conducted secure code deployments to multiple environments
This role will be primarily remote with occasional UK travel required. This role is expected to be determined Outside of IR35.
