Currently have a requirement for an experienced Systems Team Lead, to assist my client on an initial 3 to 6 month contract, based on site at their offices in Hampshire.

Due to the nature of the role and the time scale and requirements issued by the client, candidates have been asked to hold current and active high level (DV) clearance for this role.

Role Summary

Technical team lead responsible for the Systems Team Managed Service. Technical lead for a team of up to 10. They are responsible for the continuous integration pipeline tools and for managing development and test environments. They are responsible for end test scenarios. The team also provides some domain-specific integration services relating to specialist hardware and to training, and will include specialist in these areas, and the use of subcontractors,

The role is required from contract start to design the service, estimate its effort requirements and create a plan to develop its sub-services.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Identifies, evaluates and manages the adoption of appropriate tools, techniques and processes (including automation and continuous integration) to create a robust integration framework.
  • Leads integration work in line with the agreed system and service design.
  • Monitors and reports on the results of each integration and build. Designs and builds integration components and interfaces.
  • Contributes to the overall design of the service and the definition of criteria for product and component selection.
  • Contributes to development of systems integration policies, standards and tools.
  • Responsible for environment management (Dev and Integration) and scheduling with CAB (Pre-prod and prod)

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Mathematics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with computers and exposure to software development methodology and software testing techniques and tools
  • Experience working with configuration management, defect tracking, query tools and other software productivity tools.
  • Trained level of knowledge in the following technologies beneficial:
    • Chocolatey
    • Agility by Digital.ai (formerly CollabNet VersionOne)
    • Ansible
    • Terraform
    • Continuum by Digital.ai
    • Git
    • Nexus
    • Vault
    • Packer
    • Selenium
    • UFT

  • Proactive and highly organised, with good time management and planning skills.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • SFIA SINT Level 5 desirable
  • DLMG Level 5 desirable
  • Experience in Azure DevOps Server technology
  • Must be willing to undergo security clearance to join account
  • Preferable to have worked within a secure environment, have an understanding of low-to-high side migrations and working collaboratively to achieve security accreditation
  • Can do attitude - able to apply experience to accommodate CI/CD pipeline implementation/deployment guardrails resulting from mandated security constraints
