Outsource are currently working with a Banking client who are seeking a Technical Analyst for a position based in Buckinghamshire, this role is working remotely until the foreseeable.
Candidates will be required to work through Umbrella or PAYE
Key Responsibilities & Skills Required:
- The Mainframe technical analyst will be responsible for analysing & understanding requirements for the Ark team.
- This is in order to define new microservice functionality to be built in key mortgage platform which is then re-used by other teams.
- Working with Business (Product Owner) and other team stakeholders to understand requirements as well as analysing Mainframe system to understand data, logic, processes, etc. in order to help define build requirements & solutions with Development Team.
- Development team has mix of full stack devs, Mainframe devs, analysts & automation testers; Using standard tools for Jira & Confluence.
Essential skills
- Strong experience using Mainframes
- Excellent system analysis, and preferably development skills
- Knowledge of IBM Cobol
- Strong analytical and business analysis
- Excellent knowledge of Agile & SCRUM
- Very good communication & stakeholder management, ability to work with Business & Technical resources.
