Description

Our exclusive client is looking for a Project Accountant to join them on a contract basis.

Resolution is how a company manages the closure of elements of it's business(ie a failing business). When it's done poorly it can be very disruptive so the BoE have instructed big forms to have a framework set out of how they will do it. This is the programme they would like the Project Account to manage the budget of.

Program Overview:

The Bank of England has recently published the Resolvability Assessment Framework (RAF) which sets out new requirements on banks to become fully resolvable by 1st January 2022. The RAF requires HSBC to build capabilities to support resolution and take accountability for its own resolvability.

This Program has been formed (which is being co-led by Group Treasury and Finance Change) to enable HSBC to comply with the Bank or England's (BoE) RAF requirements and to adopt and embed resolvability capability across the Group ie, across multiple global businesses and functions in 10 different Legal Entities.

This Program must be able to achieve three main outcomes under the RAF:

  • Have adequate financial resources in resolution
  • Be able to continue doing business through resolution and restructuring.
  • Be able to coordinate and communicate effectively internally and also with various regulatory authorities and markets.
