Description

Operating Model Development Analyst, Rail, is required by our high profile client based in London.

Our client are operating hybrid working and you will be required to be on site 1 to 2 days per week.

Paying c.350 daily In scope of IR35

Working in the Programme Development team the role will provide wide ranging strategic support and analysis for the team, focusing on delivery strategies, operating models, capability development plans, processes and programme execution approaches. This includes documenting the outputs into easy to digest communications.

It will involve both analysis and driving through the subsequent implementation (together with the functional leads), so some hands on project management experience would therefore be beneficial.

You will have gained experience on large programmes ideally capital within the rail sector and will offer experience of the following:

supporting strategy and operating model development turning strategy into operations

capability mapping and development planning

Understanding of how programmes and projects operate and their strategic role in organisations.

The ability to turn complex ideas into easy to digest communications

Excellent communication skills and ability to lead discussions with the programme senior team

The programme is still being defined and subject to ongoing change. You will be comfortable with ambiguity and able to define ways forward in an environment where not all the information is yet available.

Desirable

Experience as a business analyst; business analysis qualification

Experience of business/enterprise architecture techniques and tools

Experience of process design and re-engineering

Business change experience and qualification

Project/Programme Management experience and accreditation eg PRINCE2, APM qualification, MSP certification

Experience on major capital programmes
Understanding of delivery models and contracting

Some flair for design would be helpful in producing diagrams and infographics
