We are Hiring for Python developer Senior Role

Work location: Hybrid - Office in Canary Wharf 2 days a week the rest remote

Assignment background:
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of LCCCs open data portal. This requires building efficient web portals for different functions across LCCC, which includes redesign of LCCCs website with our new corporate branding, and to work closely with the Data & Analytics team to make LCCC datasets and visualisations available in the public domain. Technologies/systems used: CKAN - data portal Python Django Coding in Python potentially

Core day to day duties:
The key accountabilities of the role are outlined below, covering both the Low Carbon Contracts Company and Electricity Settlement Company. Build efficient Back End features in Python Write Front End components using JavaScript and integrate with Back End Python components Manage testing and bug fixes Prepare technical documentation Working closely with the data analytics and the strategy & development to build data portal and build the company website using Python C-KAN python platform making sure data on the portal is accurate

Key skills:
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and Linux OS
Previous experience of working web development role using Python
Expose to working in Azure or AWS environment
Previous working experience in Python web frameworks like Pyramid, flask, Django
Experience of developing micro services
Previous experience of CKAN customisation would be a beneficial but not essential
Ideally previous experience in utilities sector
Ideally previous experience in writing quantitative models in Python Team player
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident in dealing with stakeholders both internally and externally
Good logical and analytical skills
Delivery focus Django restful API's

Minimum Requirement:
Valid SC Clearance.
Strong Service Delivery knowledge (essential)
ITIL v3 (transition to v4) (essential)
APM PMQ or equivalent. (desirable)
Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies/Experience of Agile delivery methodologies preferably SAFe (desirable).
Experience of project delivery (desirable)
Experience working with a range of stakeholders. (essential)
Experience of risk and project management (desirable)
An understanding and using Business Cases.
Driving licence and access to a vehicle
SOME OF THE DUTIES FOR CONTEXT:
Service Level Management to include the planning, implementation, control, review and audit of service provision, to meet the customer business requirements and the on-going management operational facilities to provide the agreed levels of service, seeking continually and proactively to improve service delivery and sustainability targets.
Service reporting. Produce relevant reports in a standard format in an agreed timeframe. Work with important stakeholders to discuss any changes in the reporting processes. (Relevant skill level: working)
Support and work in concert with the Service Delivery Project Manager on projects to ensure outputs are delivered
Act as the focal point for all service delivery aspects of the IT capability
Change Management including, preparation and management of Change Requests to the service infrastructure, assets, configuration items and associated documentation.
