Description
Data Engineer to join an exciting new team at a leading Managing General Agent (MGA) in the Lloyds Insurance Sector. Your primary focus will be to shape the company's ability to harness data generated from our current platforms and transform this data using our Snowflake data warehouse environment, including using Matillion ETL tools and Tableau for data visualisations.
As the ideal candidate you will be adept at working with large data sets to develop advanced, scalable Data Warehouse solutions from end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
Work alongside the business to execute end-to-end projects spanning the full spectrum of analytics, from data capture and storage to the boardroom's forecast analysis.
Support business directly through clear communication and consistent delivery of compelling solutions that exceed those expectations.
Bridge the gap between business and technology and empower clients to make well-informed, data driven decisions.
Designing and managing underlying data sources to allow quick and efficient data extracts to support analysis.
Work with disparate data sources (relational databases, flat files, Excel, high-performance analytical databases, etc.) to unify client data.
Create ETL processes based on business needs while managing expectations
Troubleshoot any issues from end to end within the solution
Preferable Skills
5+ years working in the field of Business Intelligence and Management Information Analytics
3+ years working in the Lloyds Insurance Market
Strong ETL proficiency using GUI-based tools or code-based patterns (Preferably using Matillion/Snowflake)
Advanced skills in SQL
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Adaptability and flexibility in changing situations
Desirable Skills
Tableau Software Experience (Tableau Desktop)
Understanding of dimensional-modelling principles ie facts and dimensions
