Overview
A YouTube platform expert, passionate about video and able to drive the ambition to catapult the company to be one the best content creators on YouTube.
Purpose
The purpose of this position will be to deliver and drive ahead the companies new YouTube strategy. Championing the need for better, optimised content, delivering impact and growing audience organically and continuing to grow the channel
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the YouTube channel, representing a wide variety range of the businesses and themes.
- Ensuring channel adheres to YouTube best practices, latest trends and editorial direction.
- Keeping up to date with YouTube platform developments, trends and training.
- Optimizing titles, descriptions, and keywords to be SEO first. Writing and editing metadata and copy for videos and channels.
- Providing regular updates on channel activity and growth. KPI's reporting.
- Collaborating with in house and external videographers and Influencers to ensure that YouTube best practices are considered from the start.
- Perform ongoing YouTube viewership analysis using multiple analytics tools in order to validate existing strategies and provide information to guide programming, marketing, and investment decisions going forward.
- Grow the subscriber base.
- Proactively use YouTube promotion tools such as video annotation, end boards, banners and playlists to drive journeys and engagement
Experience
- At least 3 years' experience working on YouTube in Channel Management/Audience Development
- Optimisation techniques at both video and channel level
- Knowledge of video content trends across all video platforms
- Experience working with network promotion tools
- A passion for analytics with experience in developing data driven insights and strategies
- Qualified in YouTube Audience Growth and Rights Management or the equivalent new YouTube qualification
- Highly skilled in Excel and Powerpoint with confidence in building reports
- Experience presenting to key stakeholders internally and externally
- Experience working with collaboratively with community managers, website managers and content/campaign owners.
- Experience of working with and building partnerships with platforms and relationships with other YouTube channels/Media partners/influencers.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Preferably educated to degree-level
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills
- Ability to effectively operate within a fast-paced, constantly evolving, team environment.
- A global citizen, with knowledge and experience of multiple markets, social media landscape and agile and nimble on the way to interact with markets.
- Possess a strong track record of managing multiple complex projects involving cross-functional teams, external relationships (clients, vendors)
- Ability to effectively influence and communicate with all levels of management.
- Excellent oral, written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English. Other languages are welcome.
