Product Owner - Oil Wells Domain
Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires a Product Owner with Oil Wells domain experience to work within wells business and risk systems in their client's office in Sunbury, UK. You can work remotely until covid abates.
This is a 6-Months (with possible extension based on performance) temporary contract to start ASAP.
Key Responsibilities/Requirements
- Leading the team
- Own the development of the product backlog for strategic applications in the Wells Business and Risk Portfolio
- Prioritize the needs of end users and key domain experts within wells
- Lead the development squads and oversee the work delivered which includes setting sprint goals, leading sprint reviews, defining acceptance criteria,
- Plan releases and upgrades, follow progress of work and work with squad members to address production issues during sprints
- Run Change Leader Network sessions
- Ensure operational integrity of the product(s)
- Provide status updates to the Product Manager for Wells business and risk systems
- Refine our agile methodology based on results and client feedback
- Keep track of industry trends
Essential Skills
- Work experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management
- Industry domain experience
- Familiarity with agility
- Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle
- Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies (particularly in Salesforce)
- Team spirit and good communication abilities
- Good organizational skills
Desirable Skills
- Oil Wells domain experience
- Professional Scrum Product Ownership (PSPO) certification
