Advantage Resourcing is seeking candidates to apply for an Information Governance Manager (Band 7), this is for an NHS Department and will be hybrid/remote working for a department in the Midlands

This will be 3 months at the rate of pay between £20.49 - £23.44 PAYE or £27.99 umbrella model per hour (37.5 per week).

The post holder will be a recognised subject matter expert in Information Governance and will support the delivery of information governance services and the review of the Data Security Protection toolkit.

The post holder will help to support work plans and implement policies, procedures and improvement plans to enable AGEM to achieve and maintain compliance with NHS requirements for Information Governance and their statutory IG obligations.

The post holder will be knowledgeable on all matters relating to Information Governance (for example but not limited to, confidentiality, data protection, risk management, incident management).

We are seeking candidates with a background of some of the below:

Education:
. Educated to master's level in relevant subject or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
. ISEB in Data Protection or equivalent
. Evidence of continued professional development

Experience of
. The Data Protection Act 2018 (GDPR) and other key legislation
. Working in Information Governance roles in the NHS or equivalent organisation with similar complexity of IG requirements
. Managing risks/incidents and reporting
. Drafting briefing papers and correspondence at senior management level
. Training multi-professional staff and measuring learning outcomes
. Developing work plans
. Managing staff
. Leading teams of varying numbers, disciplines and skill levels, managing performance reviews and motivating team members towards successful achievement of objectives
. Ability to facilitate, teach and coach
. Detailed knowledge of statutory obligations including UK Data Protection, Computer Misuse Act and detailed knowledge of NHS IG standards and compliance requirements
. Specialist knowledge of information governance, legislation and related national guidance, including a working knowledge of Section 251 of the Health and Social Care Act and Caldicott 2 DH Guidance.
