Contract - 3 months - Inside IR35

I am working on behalf of a large banking organisation looking for an IT Procurement Business Partner to help with a cost optimisation programme.

The Procurement Business Partner will partner with specific business areas across the Bank to provide procurement support in line with the Third Party Management (TPM) framework. Developing effective stakeholder relationships, the role holder will be responsible for continuing to embed the TPM framework, driving engagement from business stakeholders and ensuring compliance with policy whilst delivering value through commercial optimisation and prudent but practical risk management.

The role holder will ensure that our business owners are professionally partnered by the Bank TPM in managing the Bank's third party suppliers.

Essential Skills

  • Strong Knowledge of regulations related Financial Service (SySc8, Material Outsourcing, GDPR etc)
  • Experience in managing complex procurement projects.
  • Recognised as a procurement professional
  • Significant experience in the Financial Services sector
  • Experience in the merchant banking environment
  • Experience in meeting the needs of diverse and niche business units
  • Demonstrable and applied knowledge of contract law.
  • Significant experience in negotiating contracts (Legal and Commercial) with Tier 1 providers.
  • Experience in managing Tier 1 vendors (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle etc)
  • Strong knowledge of Soft Services Procurement.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Good influencing skills at senior levels to influence acceptance of a new way of working
  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, at all levels, are essential.
  • Good IT skills to include wide experience of word documents, Excel spreadsheets (including pivot tables and charts) and PowerPoint
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
