Senior Performance Tester, remote (UK), £ p/day Inside IR35, 6 month contract
Contract role with a Consultancy company, with a big Telecoms company, for a Performance Tester.
You will be experienced in performance testing, and have past experience in testing elements that comprises from running within a CD pipeline and an Agile team.
You will be Testing a large-scale application and you'll need to be comfortable with Open Source performance tooling and Automating tasks using tools such as Jenkins & Scripting languages like Scala/Python/Shell.
Specification:
- Build & Maintain performance test framework
- Complete requirements and performance test analysis, Call tracing, Scripts preparation, data manipulation and creation.
- Be confident to provide and express to a team, performance test needs towards signing off upcoming requirements tasked in sprint planning.
- Undergo detailed results analysis including application monitoring, third party application response time monitoring.
- Develop and maintain framework for Kubernetes tests in AWS/GCP
- Be familiar and worked previously within a project where CD pipelines are paramount.
- Apply performance testing standards and principles
- Responsible for daily reporting of performance test results and explain failures
- Report into the Scrum Master daily and regularly with the Performance Manager
- Draw on production statistics collected via tools like Prometheus & Kibana and be responsible in feeding this information into your teams performance test suite
- Add new delivery features into the performance test suites
