Description
Senior Product Manager required to work with a Government department. This is an initial 6-month contract, paying £575 a day, inside IR35, remote/hybrid working (at one of the following offices based in either London, Bristol or Manchester when a return to the office is required).
We need a Senior Product Manager with government experience to provide an options analysis on the future of a product. A large part of this work will be engagement with stakeholders across government and understanding their needs and expectations as well as desk research.
The outcome will be a high-level solutions proposal, outlining advantages and risks of different options detailed in a findings report.
Main Responsibilities:
*Engage with a range of stakeholders across government, and coordination of this engagement, to understand the needs, wants and expectations of decision-makers in a defined problem space.
*Build high-level solution proposals, outlining advantages and risks of different options which may include buy/build/exit.
*Report of findings and recommendations
*Perform the role in line with the DDaT framework specification and requirements of a Senior Product Manage
Essential Skills:
*Have experience of working with people across multiple government departments
*Have experience in agile product teams including external stakeholder engagement to executive level
*Be able to navigate ambiguity and work flexibly with others on a shared objective
*Have experience of working with digital products and services - familiar with typical challenges and risks
*Have understanding of agile processes and product life cycle from prototypes/Alpha through beta, general release and retirement
*Can confidently and independently carry out investigation, discussion and analysis to understand the problem space and previous work
*Can sensitively handle high-profile stakeholders
*Have a high-level understanding of modern technologies used in delivery of cloud-based software products
*Have strong communication skills that enable you to engage with people through a range of channels in clear and compelling ways. In particular, your cover letter should demonstrate your ability to explain things in plain English.
