Our client is looking for Business Support Manager in Bristol - 1 day a week onsite

Role: Business Support Manager (Must be Active SC)
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Bristol - 1 day a week onsite

The post holder will be responsible for delivering the business management services and activities to the SSN Replacement team. From February 2022, the post will form part of a new business management hub, providing a centralised business management service across the acquisition directorate, and will be required to support other submarine acquisition teams.

The hub will provide a range of business management services and activities including:
Delivery of business services and support eg undertaking the provision of business services to the SSN Replacement team and other SDA delivery teams once part of the BM hub.
Resolving ad-hoc BM queries and leading on administrative duties in relation to the arrangement and delivery of team event such as management and governance boards.
Managing the Workforce control total eg supporting the tracking of workforce activity and ensuring workforce planning requirements are understood and met by corporate teams including management of the relevant HR and resourcing tools.
Business planning, processes, and strategies eg development of business continuity plans, maintenance of the team Responsibility Assignment Matrix, and completing information returns for the SDA's corporate centre teams.
Internal communications eg distribution of team and corporate messaging and managing a range of internal and external stakeholders, eg relating to accommodation, recruitment, onboarding and turnover of personnel, etc
Management oversight and support to 2 x level 1 Executive Assistants. Once in the hub, the post holder will work alongside hub members of a like-minded business management nature and will have responsible for the delivery of the tasks summarised above to other teams across the acquisition directorate. The post holder's line management responsibilities may change in line with the development of the hub structure.
