Robert Walters are recruiting an Interim Financial Controls & Risk Consultant to support a North West Organisation on a 6 month internal project.
This position will suit a CCAB Qualified finance specialist who has experience in assessment of companies/NFP organisations, including sector and individual company level assessment.
Core objectives/responsibilities
- To undertake a covenant assessment of specific employers that participate in the Pension Fund, including sector and individual employer level assessment. This will include quantitative and qualitative analysis, the review and interpretation of management information and engagement with employers to understand their organisation.
- To establish long term controls & framework to manage employer risk agenda in the future, including implementation of ongoing covenant review and financial assessment into BAU activity (ad-hoc cases and periodic reviews), documenting of processes and training of team members on covenant assessment.
- To ensure that appropriate mitigation actions have been undertaken in respect of any 'high risk' employers. To support the SMT in the communication and discussion of findings/mitigation actions with specific employers through face-to-face meetings and written correspondence.
- To update the 'Employer risk management framework and approach to covenant review'
Key Deliverables of the role include:
- Report (detailed) outlining financial assessment of all employers, including sector-wide trends, historic employer data, future employer trends. Alongside underlying details financial assessment
- Process map, documentation and notes for undertaking financial assessments
- Delivery of training to relevant team members in undertaking financial assessments
- Identify high risk employers and mitigation options
