Risk & Control Analyst
6-month contract
£450/day inside IR35
Fully remote

Our client, a large financial services company, are currently seeking for multiple Risk & Control Analysts to join within their Change & Delivery team in a key role that provides essential oversight and analysis of critical processes within the function.

Role Purpose and Responsibilities

This role will specifically support Risk, Assurance & Governance and the role offers the opportunity to work closely with Enterprise-wide change practitioners to provide insight and analysis, enabling the role holder to enhance their personal profile across a very wide network. You will report direct to the Head of Control, Change & Delivery and will support them in the delivery of allocated work packages

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Delivery of the business analyst planned activities allocated to them within the Risk & Assurance and Governance deliverables in a timely manner and to the agreed standards
  • Produce papers/packs that are concise in manner and can be presented at LT and Board forums distilling complex data and insight into key points for decision/discussion
  • Working with the Head of Control, you will collaborate with Enterprise-wide stakeholders and contribute to ensuring risk frameworks adhered to
  • Contribute to the management of Risks and Issues associated with the delivery of the Group Change Portfolio and identifying the requirements to ensure effective controls are in place
  • Help organise, deliver, and document workshops focused on mapping risks and controls and for sessions that support the adherence to risk frameworks
  • Undertake controls testing (as part of Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process)
  • Participate on process redesign activity and creating risk profile summaries, linked to the outputs of your controls testing
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques with a focus on data and measurement to ensure objectives are delivered
  • Applying analytical techniques to provide insight to support deliverables
  • Supporting governance, risk & assurance requirements across the Portfolio of Change
  • Execution of the allocated plan activities on time and to a high standard
  • Supporting risk and assurance analysis and oversight activities

Requirements

Our client is looking for outstanding Risk & Control Analysts seeking a new challenge, which will take them above and beyond a standard Change delivery role and will offer an exciting opportunity to help shape change processes and ensure change is done safely.

Experience required:

  • Significant Risk & Control Analyst experience
  • Experience of change methodologies and processes
  • Proven capability to gather and document low-level risk & control analysis
  • Confidence in creating detailed remedial and mitigation recommendations aligned with industry standard techniques
  • The ability to work independently, to deliver high quality results within tight timescales whilst working under pressure
  • Assurance experience, recognising the requirements to ensure effective controls are in place
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, with strong communication skills
  • Track record of producing clear, concise business guidance documentation.

Knowledge required:

  • 3 years + knowledge and experience of working within the Finance industry
  • Knowledge of Risks and Issues that relate to a large financial institution.
  • Knowledge of the relevant Microsoft software, including Project, Visio; Excel; PowerPoint and Word.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement and risk & control analysis techniques.
