Description

Location: Home Based/Remote with occassional travel to offices in Warwickshire as required
Duration: 6 months with likely extension


A highly accomplished strategic Data Consultant/Lead (ldeally with financial services sector experience but not essential) - is required to develop and implement, via Data Steering Groups made up of senior stakeholders, an enterprise wide approach to Data Domain Management (eg Customer, Policy, Claim etc.) that delivers effective and demonstrable management of data and mitigates data risks and issues.

Role:
  • Leveraging industry best practice develop, embed, and continuously improve Data Governance Framework and Target Control Environment and track adherence to this.
  • Proactively work with Executive Data Owners to ensure they are aware of their data accountabilities and data they own is compliant with the Data Governance Framework and Target Control Environment.
  • Develop and drive the adoption of a trusted data assurance capability for datasets, reports, and dashboards developed on the Shared Data Platform that provides users with confidence the data they are using is fit for purpose.
  • Provide effective prioritisation of cross data domain data profiling requirements to the Data Quality team so they focus on the high value activities.
  • Take ownership of a strategic data domain and implement the approach and best practice developed to ensure the data is effectively managed to meet the needs of the business.
  • Proactively work with PPC Programmes, local change teams, and subject matter experts to embed data management best practice and drive successful change delivery.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with the IT Data Architecture and Data Delivery teams to ensure data management best practice is understood and Embedded into change activity.
  • Deliver short term/one-off projects and activities as required by and to the standards and outcomes agreed with Line Manager.
  • Lead, manage, motivate and develop direct reports so that they know what is expected, are able to maximise their contribution to business objectives and realise their potential.
