Job Title: Communications Lead
Location: London (Hybrid)
Job Type: 6 months
Rate: £600+

IR35: OUTSIDE

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • Providing communication leadership at programme and workstream level
  • Maintaining established communication strategy and plans
  • Collaborating with wider change, comms, engagement and training community
  • Engaging with key communications stakeholders
  • Creating core collateral and toolkits to support comms and engagement
  • Supporting delivery of stakeholder comms as per programme/workstream plans
  • Drivingcomms in line with the programmelifecycle and aligned to each phase and wave:
    • Process and organisation design
    • People and org transition
    • Enabling technology implementation
    • Other key linked transformation initiatives across Finance, HR and Procurement

DELIVERABLES
Ongoing

  • Coordinate the implementation of the overall programme communications strategy
  • Create and guide execution of detailed workstream communications plans
  • Review, update and maintain workstream stakeholder and audience analysis
  • Establish strategic communications platforms (Sharepoint, Teams, Yammer, Stream)
  • Follow programme communications principles, including the use of a consistent programme identity and channels and contribution to an integrated comms plan
  • Align to the approaches, standards, brand guidelines and methodology of the existing Internal Communications team
  • Work closely with the Internal Communications Team, Change and Training Teams, ensuring that the communication and training plans are aligned and where possible, integrated

As needed

  • Engage with functional and business leadership, change and transition leads
  • Attend regular programme team meetings
  • Maintain content

Weekly/Fortnightly

  • Co-chair the Comms & Business Engagement Board, especially where key decisions and actions are needed
  • Attend Status Update Meeting to report on communications to programme leadership including progress against plan, status, risks, issues and key decisions

Monthly

  • Track and report on comms effectiveness
  • Produce programme townhall(s)
  • Co-ordinate production of programme newsletter
