Systems Integration & Test Engineer - Remote Working

The Test and Integration Engineer will be a key member of Core Common Infrastructure - Integration and Design Services team who will be applying their subject matter expertise and domain experience to support the Engineering Manager and Product Owner in delivering IT systems and products to the Submarine build and through-life support programmes.

The Test and Integration Engineer will understand, develop, plan and perform IT System test, requirement verification and integration activities and generate relevant documentations.

The Test and Integration Engineer will produce the following deliverables and outputs;

  • Understand performance requirements for various IT Systems, create and apply strategies around IT System qualification, including integration, verification and validation activities.
  • Coordinate and contribute to IT System test and integration activities, with a focus of achieving integrated system certification and acceptance.
  • Liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient engagement in support of system realisation.
  • Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority.
  • Collation and production of documentation to support systems design reviews and high level system testing.
  • Develop and maintain Verification Cross Reference Index (VCRI), Integration Test Evaluation and Acceptance Plan (ITEAP) and Qualification Plans.
  • Contribution to other project documentation such as Technical publications, operating instructions etc.
  • Project documentations generated, captured, configured and controlled in accordance with company processes.
  • The Test and Integration Engineer will be required to have the following skills and experience;
  • Understanding of IT System in the defence, maritime or closely linked domain - essential
  • Experience in IT System test development and verification activities - essential
  • Experience in reading, interpreting and generating technical information - essential
  • Experience in requirements management in DOORS - preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile principles using scrum framework - preferred.

Remote working, that may require 1 day on site every fortnight.

Candidates must be willing to undergo the security vetting procedure.
