Head of Pensions InvestmentMy local government client in London are currently recruiting an experienced Head of Pensions Investment for a 6 month engagement. The role will initially and crucially include the organisation's pension fund closedown for the end of the financial year.
START: Immediate
CONTRACT: 6 months initially
LOCATION: London
INTERVIEW: Immediate
RATE: £350 - £450 per day
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant that understands pension investments and will have previously completed a pension fund closedown for a local government organisation.
Essential skills:
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CCMA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA)
- Previous experience of liaising with Fund Managers
- Financial reporting skills
- Written communications skills for clear reporting of raw financial data.
Daily duties:
- Preparing reports for committees
- Reconciliations around investments
- Answering freedom of information requests
- Office of national statistic returns
- Dealing with fund managers daily
- Interpreting performance data
It is desirable that you have previously worked in local government previously.
