My client, a leading bank, is currently recruiting for an experienced confirmations analyst to join their team on an interim basis until the end of the year. This is an immediate vacancy with the manager looking to book in interviews ASAP.

The successful candidate will be responsible for verbal affirmation of trades and all aspects of chasing and checking incoming Documentation in line with the Banks' policy and the EMIR/Dodd Frank requirements. The candidate will also be required to assist with the drafting and 2nd checking of confirmations as and when required.

Key Role;

  • Identifying and checking Incoming OTC Derivative Products Confirmations from Banks, Corporate & Retail Clients in a timely and accurate manner as well as assisting with the drafting and 2nd checking process of outgoing confirmations when required.
  • Verbally confirm Interbank and client trades within a specified time frame
  • Chasing for any missing confirmations on a daily basis
  • Ensuring escalation procedures are adhered to and appropriate tracking in completed.
  • Produce and update tracking systems relating too outstanding incoming Confirmations for both chasing and escalation purposes
  • Provide cover and cross train with the other Confirmation Analysts within Derivative Confirmations
  • Meet all regulatory requirements for both Dodd Frank and EMIR
  • Checking incoming derivative confirmations against the source system identifying any discrepancies and mitigating any risk
  • Drafting and 2nd checking outgoing confirmations
  • Producing meaningful MI on a regular basis

Key Skills;

  • SUMMIT, Murex, Excel and Word, the other systems used within the Confirmations area are in-house
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • ISDA documentation experience of both incoming and outgoing confirmations as well as an understanding of the relevant ISDA definitions for each product
  • Must be accurate
  • Constantly looking for control gaps and improvements to existing processes and procedures
  • Looking for ways to improve work flows and procedures
  • Customer focus
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong team player
  • Good understanding of Derivative products
  • Ability to understand complicated payoffs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to liaise with other team members, departments within the bank, Legal, Front Office and external counterparties.
  • Knowledge of current market practice within the derivatives industry including the regulatory EMIR timely confirmation and Dodd Frank confirmation requirements.
