Description

Our client, a leading UK Central Government Department is seeking a Director of Finance and Strategy on a contract basis to work at their London office.

This is a 5 month contract and is paying £600 LTD.

Key Tasks:

Director of Finance & Strategy The role leads the people of the Planning and Performance team in. supporting HMRC to deliver its agreed objectives within financial and budgetary limits through assuring: o a planning process, both annual and long term, which leads to the allocation of appropriate funds, o a financial and performance challenge and scrutiny process; and o the production of robust and credible financial information. satisfactory reporting on HMRC's financial and business performance to internal and external stakeholders. ensuring the appropriate financial, planning, and performance standards and policies are set and assuring that they are adhered to. driving efficiency and performance improvement

Ideally, the post holder will have either a professional qualification in accountancy eg CCAB or MBA, but this requirement is dependent on the extent of the individual's specialist knowledge and experience
