Description
Our client, a leading British Defence and Aerospace company is looking for an IPT Lead to join the Installations Supply Chain Unit based in Derby on a initial 12 month contract. The role will involve creating, implement and maintaining a suite of Design/Make programme plans that provide comprehensive control & visibility for all Integrated Project Team tasks.

Core Duties
close engagement with the commodity suppliers
contracting and monitoring programme deliverables and milestones
also interface with key functional areas of design, stress, thermals and aero engineering as required
ensuring parts/components are delivered on-time from the domestic or external supply-chain
Managing the risk process
Lead the IPT to achieve the design make plan via the change process including Product Change Board, Design Definition Review & Audit Meeting and Design/Technical Review gates
Required Skills
You will ideally have a degree in an Engineering or Programme Management or Aerospace Technology discipline (or equivalent industrial experience);
Good knowledge of design engineering and related processes, and a proven ability to plan, integrate, manage & deliver multiple tasks using multi-disciplinary teams.
You will have a strong background in Programme/Project Management principles and techniques, and a proven ability to lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams.
A sound knowledge and experience with product change, risk management, budget control, problem solving and unit cost processes is required for this role
