Description
The Dedham Group, “TDG,” is a specialized boutique management and strategy consulting company offering advisory services to the Life Sciences industry with a strong focus in the Oncology & Specialty Therapeutics space. TDG’s unique expertise in specialty healthcare economics, emerging access influencers, molecular diagnostics and commercial analytics provide our clients with a holistic approach in solving their greatest clinical and business issues facing their brands.
Responsibilities & requirements:
Develop and update existing MS Excel / VBA dashboards for content, functionality, layout and design for multiple global pharmaceutical brands
Develop custom VBA macros to automate priority business queries and charting
Support data processing, cleansing and structuring with consulting business teams
Solve complex technical, scalability or performance challenges
Perform functional testing, development and implementation of Excel user forms, external databases, macros, user defined functions and array formulas
Collaborate and report to business leads to address client needs
Role Qualifications:
BS or advanced degree in science, engineering or computer science preferred (not required)
Strong experience with MS Excel core and advanced data packages
Experience in rapid, fast-paced business environment preferred (e.g. Investment Banking, Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Consulting, Technology / Startup)
2-5 years of experience obtaining and translating complex business requirements into user friendly and intuitive applications
Ability to develop custom business reporting applications in MS Excel and other Microsoft Programs (e.g. Access, SQL Server, etc.)
Experience extracting, processing and analyzing data from non-spreadsheet data sources (e.g. external databases requiring authentication or connection via API)
Experience with automating Pivot Table, user form controls, and charts / graphs via VBA
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with limited hands-on management and anticipate needs
Ability to work M-F on-site at our corporate headquarters in Midtown West (one block away from Penn Station) and must be able to start within two weeks
