IIB/Message Broker Consultant - Basingstoke - Contract
The position is for an IIB consultant to increase the temporary project capacity of the Data Integration development team within a leading Global Payments Company.
The Integration team is a highly motivated technical team involved in the delivery of a large number of critical projects and services across multiple technologies including IIB. With IIB being relatively recent additional to the team's repertoire we are looking for someone with an SME level of knowledge of the toolset to help the team with the design, development and maintenance of innovative solutions that support the delivery of value add services to IT build customers.
Essential Criteria
- Significant IIB design and development experience within technically challenging project environments. ie high volume, low latency, big data
- Strong development experience using IBM MQ Family tool sets including IBM Integration Bus, IBM MQ V7.5 (and preferably WAS, Extreme Scale and ODM)
- In-depth knowledge of standards/technologies that enable messaging, including DFDL modelling, TCPIP, XML, WSDL, HTTP, JMS and SOAP.
- Practical Experience in IIB Integration with other ESB products as such ODM//WAS/Data power
- Practical experience in the MQ & IIB High Availability features for complex application design.
- Experience with MQ/IIB Publish Subscribe patterns.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a Good demeanour and ability to work with and support senior executives with a proven ability to remain calm under pressure to manage customer expectations while confident to suggest alternate solutions to a problem.
