Description

Course Key is a growing innovative education software company. We are looking for a UI/UX Web Developer to work closely with our development team to refine current mobile application and enhance user experience. Our finalized beta cross platform application is currently in over 50 large lecture classrooms with a total of 5,000 users for the fall 2015 semester at San Diego State University. Course Key launched at SDSU in the Spring of 2015 and had tremendous success. We have built a reputation of responsiveness and reliability with our clients and end users so we are looking to not only improve functionality but user experience as well. We are looking for a front end developer who can make current features more intuitive more visually appealing. We develop using a SCRUM Agile methodology for development so teamwork and communication are essential.

This position will have specialized projects that will require working with management and back end developers in order to ensure UI is in line with end user needs. Candidate will be compensated on a contract basis.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in core web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Knowledge of AngularJS, LESS are a big plus.
  • Knowledge of material design
  • Experience with using frameworks such as Bootstrap
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.).
  • UX/UI Front End Programming.
  • Mobile Responsive Development.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction?

About the job

  • Work with backend engineers to refactor a core feature within our web application.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate design ideas
  • Design new interface (feature specific)
  • Program front end


Pitch/ Compensation:
Developer will be compensated on a project basis and will have the opportunity for a full time position in 3 months. We have a team of brilliant engineers as well as tremendous traction in the San Diego Area. Our company has won national competitions and is expanding rapidly. We have the most influential investors in the South California region that have controlling power of some of the biggest companies and brands recognized today, so getting involved with our company has never been as exciting as it is at this moment.
